My sister and I have been walking along Hadrian’s Wall. Halton Red House farm is in a perfect location as there aren’t many other places around and it is next to the path.
We had a very warm welcome from Katie and Will.
The whole house is a beautiful and restful place to be, with superb views. The bedroom and bathroom were second to none, tastefully and beautifully equipped, with the best beds ever! It was good to be able to have a soak in the bath after a long day’s walk.
We ordered an evening meal in advance, which was delicious and reasonably priced. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was beautifully cooked.
Little touches made the whole experience special, such as fresh flowers in the bedroom, sour dough bread for breakfast and fresh eggs from their own hens.
I would like to thank Katie and Will for a very memorable stay and hope their new venture is a great success. They deserve it.
