My sister and I have been walking along Hadrian’s Wall. Halton Red House farm is in a perfect location as there aren’t many other places around and it is next to the path.
We had a very warm welcome from Katie and Will.
The whole house is a beautiful and restful place to be, with superb views. The bedroom and bathroom were second to none, tastefully and beautifully equipped, with the best beds ever! It was good to be able to have a soak in the bath after a long day’s walk.
We ordered an evening meal in advance, which was delicious and reasonably priced. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was beautifully cooked.
Little touches made the whole experience special, such as fresh flowers in the bedroom, sour dough bread for breakfast and fresh eggs from their own hens.
I would like to thank Katie and Will for a very memorable stay and hope their new venture is a great success. They deserve it.

Our stay at Halton Red House was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, charm, and hospitality that truly set this place apart. We had the pleasure of staying in the most beautiful room – tastefully decorated, immaculately clean, and offering every comfort one could wish for.
The service there is outstanding! The owners are incredibly kind, thoughtful, and genuinely delightful people. They went above and beyond in every possible way – even going so far as to personally return walking sticks we had accidentally left behind.
The breakfast was an absolute highlight – freshly prepared, delicious, and served with so much love and attention to detail.
Though it’s a young and small hotel, it already feels like a well-loved gem. Its idyllic location adds to that overall charm.
We would travel all the way back to England just to stay here again. Thank you so much!
