If you are anything like me a weekend away isn’t a weekend away without a trip to the coast ! Northumberland is spoilt with gorgeous wide sandy beaches, fantastic food and stunning little fishing harbours.
Take a trip up to Amble and stop in at the Amble Fish Shack for lunch then head onto Warkworth and Alnmouth for stunning beaches and seaside towns.
For beach with a stunning castle view head to Craster and walk up to Dunstanburgh Castle and Embleton Bay making sure to finish your walk at the Jolly Fisherman back in Craster for some great food with a view.
A little further afield but completely worth the drive is beautiful Bamburgh. Walk down to Seahouses and enjoy a drink on the harbour before walking back and stopping for dinner at the Potted Lobster.
